Pyarelal Wadali dies of cardiac arrest
It’s a colossal loss for the world of music. Sufi lovers are going to miss his melodious voice forever. Ustad Pyarelal Wadali, the younger brother of Padma Shri recipient Puranchand Wadali died in Amritsar on Friday Morning. The younger brother of the legendary Sufi set Wadali Brothers, died of cardiac arrest. He was 75. He had not been well for last few months. He was admitted at Fortis Escorts Hospitals in Amritsar on Thursday. Due to cardiac arrest, he breathed his last on Friday. He is survived by his wife Surjit Kaur, two sons, Satpal Singh and sandeep, and three daughters, Sheela Rani, Raj Rani and Soma Rani.
Besides Sufi genre Wadali Brothers, who hail from Amritsar, are also famous for their gurbani, kaafian, ghazal and bhajans genres of music.
The Wadali Brothers made their impression also through their famous Bollywood songs such as Aye Rangrez Mere (Tanu Weds Manu; 2011) and Ik Tu Hi Tu Hai (Mausam; 2011).
