Hundreds of doctors, paramedics, staff and other employees working at the Mumbai’s state-run KEM are seen protesting against the hospital authorities. The death of a worker, posted at the Covid-19 ward died was unwell for four days. The worker, who had made a request for leave due to his illness but was denied leave, died on Saturday night.
The reason of death is not clear yet. Whether he died of COVID-19 will be known after his test results come out.
Protesting employees, seen wearing protective masks and gloves, demanded that the worker’s family should be compensated with a job and financial help.
