Two recent suicide cases have shook us to the core and raised discussion about the prevailing struggle in the entertainment industry.
TV actor Manmeet Grewal’s suicide, due to financial crunch during Coronavirus induced lockdown, has raised questions regarding the non-payment or less-payment, dearth of work, due to which they are unable to repay their loans and EMIs. Due to lack of work leading to financial crisis, Aadat Se Majboor actor, Manmeet Grewal could not cope up with his daily expenses and due payments of EMIs and loans.
On Monday night, ‘Crime Patrol’ actress Preksha Sharma (25) too, committed suicide at her residence in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
The ‘Meri Durga’ and ‘Laal Ishq’ actress who hanged herself from the ceiling fan, left a suicide note which depicts the mental trauma she was going through. Preksha, who had returned to Indore during rapid spread of coronavirus in Maharashtra, took this step due to lack of work during lockdown.
Her last message on the Instagram read, “”Sabse bura hota hai, sapnon ka mar jaana.”
This message by the actress is creating waves in the industry.
