24 migrant workers killed in truck collision
Twenty-four migrant workers were killed and many other injured after a truck they were travelling in collided with a supply lorry. The collision happened near Auraiya in Uttar Pradesh early on Saturday.
The trailer truck was had departed from Rajasthan, carrying construction material, while the supply lorry was coming from Delhi. The incident took place at 3:30 a.m. fifteen migrant workers, severely injured have been rushed to Saifai Medical College in Etawah.
The migrant workers belonged to Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, expresses his condolences to the bereaved families.
Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav announced Rs one lakh compensation to the kin of the deceased. SP president also demanded that the BJP government should compensate the affected families by paying Rs 10 lakh each.
घर लौट रहे प्रवासी मज़दूरों के मारे जाने की ख़बरें दिल दहलानेवाली हैं. मूलत: ये वो लोग हैं जो घर चलाते थे. इसलिए समाजवादी पार्टी प्रदेश के प्रत्येक मृतक के परिवार को 1 लाख रु की मदद पहुँचाएगी.
नैतिक ज़िम्मेदारी लेते हुए निष्ठुर भाजपा सरकार भी प्रति मृतक 10 लाख रु की राशि दे.
