Where there is kindness, there is goodness and where there is goodness, there is magic.
Generosity often knocks at the doors of our heart, but how often do we listen to our hearts? We often end up ignoring the calls of our hearts. But Over 30 teenage students of the Ivy condominium in Sushant Lok- 1, have followed what their hearts suggested. These Gurugram kids have taken up the job of car cleaners to help the underprivileged who are struggling to make their both ends meets during lockdown.
The teenagers have formed a group called ‘Santa Brigade’ which cleans cars in the morning from 6 am onwards. It takes around four hours of cleaning and the money earned through car cleaning is used to purchase things of basic necessities for underprivileged families living in the vicinity. Groceries, fruits, vegetables, sanitisers and masks are some of the things that the group aims to provide to the needy people. ‘Santa Brigade’ was able to collect around Rs 15,000 in the last three weeks. The brigade charges the money for car cleaning as per the size, category and dimension of the vehicle. It ranges from Rs 200 to Rs 1000.
